Gnome Alone!

Gnome alone1

With cheery, clear voices and colourful costumes, Year 1 children told the story of how Norman the Gnome desperately wanted to help Santa in any way he could.  Norman tried to help paint Santa’s sleigh, groom the reindeer and pack the presents but he couldn’t as he was just too small.  Unfortunately, the elves worked so hard, that they were sleeping when Santa needed help delivering Christmas presents – Norman our hero, saved the day and helped Santa deliver the presents!

The children’s performance was fantastic, it was colourful and funny, with five songs, lots of dialogue, props and movement to remember!

Santa’s Surprise

When our youngest performers, Little Crofters Pre-school, take to the stage for their Christmas play, it is always a real treat.  The theatre must look enormous to the three and four year olds and yet, they always manage to perform a heart-warming Christmas tale.

The Solar System - Year 5 Science

The Year 5 Science curriculum provides the pupils with an opportunity to learn about the solar system. It is a fascinating topic, as it offers many occasions to find information whether learnt in the Science lab, from independent research, and even by studying the stars at night from the comfort of a garden, despite the freezing temperatures! The results of their work were displayed in the Theatre Foyer. Many have chosen spheres to highlight facts while others have been inventive with food: Tabby P’s waning crescent moon cake; Bella C and Jacob T turned a biscuit into a planet, and Austin W coated Oreo biscuits to demonstrate phases of the moon. Lily C-J and Grace K made icing sugar planets, and Imogen F, Freddie S, Anthony H and Felix R decorated their cakes. Thank you to Mrs Macrae for devising such a stimulating exercise.
